Golf Solitaire Rules & Strategy

Objective

The goal of Golf Solitaire is to clear all cards from the tableau by selecting cards that are one rank higher or lower than the current waste card.

Setup

Golf Solitaire uses a standard 52-card deck. Cards are dealt into 7 tableau columns with 5 cards each. Only the bottom card in each column is available for play. The remaining cards form the stock pile.

How to Play

Card Selection: Select cards one rank higher or lower than waste card
Cycling: Ace and King are consecutive (can connect)
Available Cards: Only bottom cards in columns can be selected
Stock: Use stock pile when no moves available

Movement Rules

Only bottom cards in tableau columns can be moved
Cards must be exactly one rank different
Ace can connect to both 2 and King
Clear entire tableau to win

Uncover Cards: Focus on moves that expose new cards
Long Sequences: Try to build long consecutive sequences

Scoring

Golf Solitaire typically includes a scoring system where you earn points for each card removed. The goal is to achieve the lowest score possible, similar to golf, hence the name.
